Established over thirty years ago, Billy and the Showmen has earned a, reputation as one of Connecticut's best and most enduring Rhythm & Blues bands. its members have played with such artists as Billy Vera, the Chiffons, Bo Diddley, and Jackie Wilson, in venues as diverse as Madison Square Garden, the Village Vanguard, the Village Gate, and the Bottom Line.

Billy and the Showmen feature the soulful vocals of lead singer-Billy Foster, a strong horn section, and a tight rhythm section. Longtime veterans of the Connecticut New York club scene, the Showmen are a genuine R&B band, not just a wedding band that plays R&B. If your tastes run towards lounge acts, look elsewhere. Repertoire

Billy & the Showmen specialize in hard-driving R&B, Soul, and Funk from the '60's and '70's. The band's repertoire includes the best of Blood, Sweat, & Tears, Tower of Power, Cool & the Gang, and classic Motown artists such as the Temptations and Sam & Dave.
